The story
The Patcha Foundation and the Bon Martha Foundation partnered to organize the 2026 Santa Medical Mission at Santa District Hospital in the North West Region. Over three days, 2,831 people received free, high-quality care, from cancer screening and HPV vaccination to surgery, eye care and medicine.
More than 200 volunteers gave their time, skills and energy, from early-morning setups to late-evening cleanups: registration, triage, consultations, surgeries, counseling, medication dispensing and crowd control. The Hamani Foundation School of Health sent medical volunteers to serve the community.
Healing meant more than medicine. In many parts of Cameroon, professional help can be hours away when cardiac arrest strikes, so the mission ran hands-on CPR training for 75 volunteers and community members, leaving behind a safer, stronger Santa.
Many people left not only healthier but with renewed hope and a sense of being seen and valued.
