The story
In June 2025 the team of healthcare professionals, volunteers, donors and partners from all over Cameroon and across the world reached over 2,500 people in Baloum, a village in the West Region, with cancer screening, medical consultations, medication, surgery and health education.
Behind every number is a story: a mother or father screened early, a son receiving long-awaited surgery, a woman seeing the sonographic image of her unborn child, a family given hope, a community empowered with knowledge and the gift of good health.
The hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Saha, fondly known as Pa Antoine and Ma De, mobilized volunteers, coordinated publicity, hosted volunteers in their home and catered the welcome and award dinners for over 140 volunteers. Ma De, a retired midwife, served in the pharmacy and pediatrics; Pa Antoine was errand runner, crowd control and logistics manager. Mr. Albert Fogang, known as Mons. Focali, made an impactful financial contribution to fund the mission.
The mission also mourns Alex Penka Kegne, who volunteered in kinesiology, relieving participants of pain and body aches. His dedication to serving others, even in his final days, stays with the whole Patcha family.

A volunteer in kinesiology who gave relief to many, remembered with love.
The tenth CASEC mission brought the total to 32,000 people served.
I do this work out of love because it is very demanding. You put yourself aside to serve others, because far from being just a job, it is a mission.
The world would be a much better place if we all care for one another.
