About CASEC Information Exchange
The CASEC Information Exchange
Our first CASEC Information Exchange Conference, Bridging the Cancer Care Gap for Africans and People of African Descent, met in Laurel, Maryland on 21 April 2016. In 2020 the exchange moved online as the CASEC Virtual Information Exchange, with panels through the year.
Investing in volunteers
The CASEC Capacity Building Retreat, a volunteer health summit in Kribi, Cameroon in June 2018, trained our volunteers in cancer diagnosis in resource challenged settings, palliative care, cancer research and hypertension, with hands-on workshops.
Virtual discussions
Experts and survivors discuss cancer openly and its impact on many parts of life. Topics covered have included HPV and cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, male breast cancer, breast cancer in Black women, cancer risk among African Americans, cancer research and clinical trials, gallbladder and bile duct cancer, intimacy and cancer, and the impact of women in healthcare, with many more to come.
Together, we can do more
