How a mission works

Register. Triage. Consult. Screen. Operate. Heal.

  1. 01

    Registration

Every person is registered and given a medical record card.

  2. 02

    Triage

Nurses check blood pressure, blood sugar and vital signs.

  3. 03

    Consultation

A doctor reviews personal and family health history.

  4. 04

    Screening and clinics

Cancer screening and specialty clinics, from cardiology to dental.

  5. 05

    Surgery

Surgeons operate on site, free of charge.

  6. 06

    Pharmacy and follow-up

Free medication, health education and referrals for follow-up care.

One week, one mobile hospital

Every service, every medicine, free.

Voices from the missions

In their own words

Volunteers and partners on what a mission means to them.

This past summer I went home to Cameroon for a volunteer Medical Mission trip with the Patcha Foundation. It was truly a life changing experience for me and the beginning of a career as an aspiring physician!
Germaine Volunteer, medical student, 2016

Linda Volunteer, 2016
This medical mission is by far the highlight of my year!! I have volunteered many times in the US in health outreach programs but this time it was so different because of the response and the number of people who showed up.
Gladys Volunteer, triage, 2016
