The Loss of Our Greatest Champion, Jeanette Chumfong Angeh

Jeanette Chumfong Angeh – Nettean Collections

The Patcha Foundation honors one of its greatest advocates and partners in the fight for cancer health equity. We honor her dedication to the fight; her advocacy; her generous spirit.

Jeanette Chumfong Angeh walked in shoes unimaginably big. She spent a good portion of her life as an advocate. She walked and raised her voice against Alzheimer’s disease that had afflicted her mother. She fundraised and volunteered with the Michael and Mauritia Patcha Foundation, earning a recognition as a CASEC Catalyst. She was unabashedly that one person who would reach out to as many people on her contacts list as she could, in order to raise funds for the Patcha Foundation. In 2020 she did so by getting a record 63 people to donate, raising over $6300 for the cause. Simply, Jeanette was and we believe she remains an unwavering supporter of the Patcha Foundation and a champion for the cause.

The Patcha Foundation has lost its champion advocate. All those served by the Patcha Foundation have lost their champion advocate. On May 11, 2022, Jeanette was called home, and the void created by her passing will not soon be filled. We miss the homemade artful and skillful jewelry, soap and beauty products which she sold to fund her ‘favorite causes; her love of life, family and friends; the nonjudgmental manner she approached every issue; and the sparkle when she talked about her family and the scriptures.

Our dearest Jeanette, sleep well and peacefully in the Lord. We will continue the work you were so dedicated to.
