Women’s Cancer Control Program

The Women’s Cancer Control Program provides free mammograms, clinical breast exams, and pelvic exam/pap tests to low income uninsured women 40 to 64 years old who are Montgomery County residents. The program is for low income families who are uninsured. Proof of residence in Montgomery County and proof of income is requested. One needs to have lived in the County for at least 6 months to be eligible. Application review and approval process takes two weeks, provided that all documentation is approved.

To apply, send a service request to the office. If you do not wish to provide your name, you may call the office at: 240-777-1750. If one has applied, a letter will be mailed regarding approval for the program. A list of participating radiology providers (for the mammogram) and physicians list will also be included with the letter. If further follow up is needed, a nurse case manager will call and explain the results, and provide any instructions and assistance.
