THE RANDALLSTOWN WALK-A-THON
Thank you all for making our first ever Walk to Fight Cancer and…WIN! event, and the CASEC Launch GALA a huge success!
Over 200 people joined us this year to walk to fight cancer and win, and to launch the CASEC program. What is CASEC? It is a program that works with community groups to promote Cancer Awareness, Screening, Early detection and Care.
Both events took place on October 27, 2012. The walk event started at 9:00 am at the Northwest Hospital in Randallstwon, MD, with a brief opening by Dr. Miller, Oncologist at the hospital. Walkers enjoyed a 6.2 mile walk that ended back at the hospital with balloon release in remembrance of loved ones.
The gala that evening at the Columbia Holiday Inn was well attended. The CASEC program was launched in style in a dinner/dance fundraising event.
